Our achievements

In independence North Bangladesh, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman nationalized about 37 thousand primary schools in the country in 1973. Following this, Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina nationalized about 26,000 private primary schools created after 2013. The government is implementing various programs through the Primary Education Development Program-3 (PEDP-3) worth about Tk 58 thousand crores by giving utmost importance to the primary education sector. At present, all children in the country are being provided free of cost brand new books on the very first day of the school year. Pre-primary classes have been introduced by creating new posts of teachers in every primary school. As a result, it has been possible to reduce the dropout rate by ensuring the admission of 100% of children suitable for admission to primary school.

As a result of the increasing student population, new buildings are being constructed and expanded in the country's primary schools. In order to increase the status of primary school teachers, the salary of assistant teachers has already been increased with the promotion of the rank of head teachers from 3rd class to 2nd class. At the end of the primary education cycle, all the 5th grade children of the country are participating in the final exam similar to the national exam with one question. Since 2009, the Primary Education Ending Examination has been introduced; It has brought about massive changes in primary education. Scholarships are awarded to the children and certificates are awarded to the children through the final examination.

Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament and Bangmata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament are organized every year to make primary school children interested in sports including physical fitness.

Laptops and multimedia projectors with internet connection are being provided in primary schools to provide modern education to primary school children from the beginning of their educational life. It is hoped that as a result of this, our children will be educated in modern and technology-based education and make themselves competent in the competitive world.
